Mother goose and her wings of safety, what could be more innocently heartwarming? When we don't have a home it's the most destabilizing feeling. Not everyone has the unfortune of that kind of experience, but if you have then you know how existential and impossible to navigate it can be. Homeless is a huge issue, not only for people but for animals. Animals aren't meant to be on the street, and that's why there are so many animal shelters and fosters around, because they really can't fend for themselves and sometimes it takes another species entirely to help the situation. And that's what brings us to this story, where a stray dog was lost and scared, but found love and comfort in the wings of a goose, a mother goose. Her wings of affection protected him, and sometimes all we need is a big hug. She hugs him and holds him, and it's something we can all relate to.

Mother Goose is one of the most common and understandable characters in folklore. She's a storyteller, associated with nursery rhymes, whimsy, and childhood memories. We all need love and affection. Being on the streets is one of the world lives one can live. If you've ever had a housing crisis, you may understand this feeling all too well. Not having a place to call home can make one spiral about their sense of being and purpose. It's difficult to feel like you can never exhale into a bed, a room, or a sense of privacy. People's eye contact becomes a punishment, a threat, and their words become hard to handle. It's exhausting to feel like you never truly get rest, and that's exactly how this dog feels.
